Rosemarie Plette Chief Operating Officer, ASKi International Market Research
Rosemarie's early academic experience was the study of social sciences, history and economics at Hamburg University. She graduated from that institute with the American equivalent of a PhD in Sociology. Rosemarie has published papers on organizational sociology, media and its consequences on behavior, and deviant behavior and interpretation in society. This educational past combined with her early employment forays into manufacturing, governmental and the social service arenas provided Rosemarie with unique experiences and insights that helped pave her path into the market research industry over 20 years ago. After her start as an employee in a full service provider, Rosemarie then partnered with Bernd Borgmann in establishing a research fieldwork supplier company called theMa in order to offer high quality data collection under own control and taking the lead role in the long-standing ASK Gesellschaft für Sozial-und Konsumforschung (founded in 1953). Now 14 years later, Rosemarie is COO of the global research supplier components known as ASK, theMA, ASKi Data and ASKi International Market Research.
Bernd Borgmann Chief Executive Officer, ASKi International Market Research
Bernd's academic career involved studies of psychology, sociology, psychopathology and social psychology complimented by sports and paedagogics for the disabled. Bernd's degree is the American equivalent of a PhD in Psychology. Bernd also has published papers about the attitudes of social risers in different target groups and has developed and taught intelligence testing tools used by psychology students. His contribution to this area enables psychologists to more effectively deal with the methodological problems of administering and understanding this type of testing. Bernd's career path provided him with an organizational and methodological understanding of the automobile, insurance and pharmaceutical industries prior to venturing into market research over 20 years ago. Although Bernd is the CEO of the ASKi family of companies, he is still sought out and active in the European research community as an astute and gifted analyst on an individual basis.
Rosemarie and Bernd continue to devote themselves to intimate involvement in every project done with eagle eyed yet subliminal guidance and input to the highly experienced professionals that make up the entire ASK/ theMa/ASKi Data/ASKi International team.
